Meet back at the Cuthbert temple. There is much activity, healing and treating riot victims. Jenya asks if we met Alec. We tell her no and explain how the riot started. Jenya seems more in favor of Alec’s challenge as the only way to regain control of the city from the current leaders. Rest the night. The temple has info that Tigit Mismus a halfling art dealer, might know of Alec. Alec has been selling several pieces of family art recently. Gracie and I go to the shop, located on the third tier. It is a well decorated two story building. ‘Tigit’s Antiquities.’ There is an odd breed of dog that Gracie thinks might be a blink dog. Tigit recognizes me as a member of the Singing Blades. I ask about Alec in a round about fashion. Tigit shows us several art pieces. One is a silver plate that has engravings on one side and a crude map on the other. I bargain for the plate and we settle on 325Au. All Tigit knows is that Alec might be down at Red Gorge. I ask him to let Alec know we would like to meet him.

Jian and the guys manage to get involved in a fire fight with a pair of fiery critters burning a tavern down. Much mayhem and fighting. Seems to be Jian’s favorite pastime.

The folks at the temple know more about the plate’s engravings. We decide to go to Red Gorge. Dubious asks Nugi to stay in Cauldron and listen for rumors. Catch a caravan going south. Make it to Red Gorge safely. Go to the Red Head Miners Inn based on Maavu’s info. As we enter, a bard queries “What combines with water, sand and lime?” We reply with “Mortar.” Led to nice rooms in back. Maavu is here. Served food and drink. He is expecting Alec. Some comments that Chisel is not doing enough to help the poor. Warnings about what is going on in Cauldron. Skellereng has threatened Chisel. He worries about where Alec is. I share the info that Merthan Elathorn has told me about the Case Wrights. The group here will start researching trade goods going to Cauldron to see if there is a pattern.

Agree to travel down the Red River to the headless temple and look for Alec. A four hour trip. Spot a large beach on the north side. A large statue is here. The jungle is cleared around the statue. A trail leads to the NE. A boat is here. We beach our boat and exit. Arrows start flying. I run into the woods. Jian fireballs in my wake. Gnolls. Sky yells threats at them and scares a few of them off. The Gnolls are using poisoned arrows. Brief fight. After six go down the rest flee. Recover six sets of leather armor, six masterwork long bows, and 120Au in coins.
